CTA Tennis Leadership Programme

The Cambridge Tennis Academy Leadership programme provides students, whatever their tennis ability, with the opportunity to gain invaluable leadership skills both on and off court.

Tennis leaders support our coaches, to deliver tennis sessions on court, and support the running of our Academy. They are a role model to younger players, members and school children, and inspire others to play. Off-court, they help to make sure tennis is relevant, accessible, rewarding and enjoyable.

Within the two-day course, there are five modules:

1, Introduction to Tennis

2, Helping at a Competition

3, Helping at a Coaching Session

4, Helping at a Venue

5, Helping at a School

To become a Cambridge Tennis Academy Leader, students need to complete a minimum of the first three modules.

The programme is accredited by SLQ Sports Leaders, who have worked with the LTA to ensure the core leadership skills of communication, self-belief, teamwork, self-management and problem solving are embedded throughout the learning.

Tennis Coach Development

Successful Tennis Leaders will get the opportunity to develop their skills with Cambridge Tennis Academy, who will support them to attain their LTA Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching Qualifications as well as offer them paid coaching work to fit alongside their studies.
